In Bloom is an original painting on canvas. It can be hung directly onto the wall, or framed according to taste. It comes unframed, but with hooks and wire on the back.

Using these bronze dots as a motif scudding across the canvas creates movement and energy. It is a warm, sensual painting that is both graphic and contemporary, but has a beautiful depth and sensuality.

I used a bronze spray paint to create the circles. This metallic quality has a beautiful luxurious feel. It also holds the light and draws it into the painting, creating an ever-changing landscape.

8 Billion Heartbeats is an original painting on canvas. It can hung directly onto the wall, as it has a deep edge, or can be framed according to taste.

I wanted to create a painting that was full of energy, and had a beautiful flow to it.

Using a circular motif to make the dark marks, I feel this creates that movement and flow, that is full of life and energy.

I love the dramatic mood of the painting with it’s dark upper half, but it also holds an incredible softness and gentleness.

I see the dark circles as beats, or pulses. With this association when naming the painting, I was thinking about heartbeats. There are 8 billion people in the world, thus I found the rather beautiful and poetic title "8 Billion Heartbeats".

It is a recent painting from a series where I started using grids as a structural beginning to the painting.

Using the grid as an anchor, I then built the painting out from these roots.

On reflection, there feels like a strong, yet subconscious influence from Japanese art. The flattening of perspective, its understated nature, and linework, all allude to this aesthetic.

I feel there is a gentle elegance to this painting. I love it's seemingly simple structure, but on further inspection it is full of a beautiful array of muted colours and tones, that give it a warm, yet understated presence. It is sure of itself, without being pushy. It has a gentle rhythm and musicality, that is contained by it's delicate gold edges that hold the painting.

I knew I wanted these sharp black dots punctuating the space. I love how these give it an industrial feel. It feels like armour, there is a strength to this framework. The modulated soft brown background with pops of orange and pink, feel tremendously warm and human to me. Which I find a beautiful counter balance to the strength of the image.

I have painted x3 of these paintings so far. With this painting, the pencil lines developed over time, creating a quiet energy within the piece. I kept adding line by line until it achieved a sense of balance and harmony.

The lines create movement within the painting, energy and life.

The dots shimmer as they catch the light, which makes the painting alive, and constantly changing throughout the day.

This painting is an original unframed acrylic painting on canvas, measuring 100x100cms.

Full of light, air and scent, "Yellow Song" drifts across the canvas, and out into nature. Although, at it's heart, it is an abstract painting, it feels intrinsically natural, with hints of the natural world, in it's colour and forms.

It appears almost like a musical score (hence the title), and is musical in it's lilting and rhythmic dance across the picture plane.

"Holding me Tight" is an original acrylic painting on canvas. It can be hung directly onto the wall, as it is painted on a deep 4cm canvas.

I loved the challenge of the dimensions of this tall thin painting. Attacking it with fluid gestures from side to side created this dynamic piece. Using bronze spray paint created a fluid light-filled painting.

The black dots peek through the lines with simmering energy. Somehow these two strong elements coexist happily.
